How do you prepare for creating a new piece?
I get a play-list going and warm up my hands. And I usually get a good walk in before I sit down at my bench. Then go!
What problems do you encounter in your art practice?
Being your own boss can be a blessing and a curse. Finding balance is a constant goal of mine and squashing bad work habits.
Why did you choose the medium you work with?
I chose silversmithing because I wanted to make rings. Working with vintage items is always interesting and different. I strive to create with recycled materials and use as few chemicals as possible.
