What appeals to you most about making jewelry? I love having an idea in my head and then seeing that idea in 3D.  I enjoy the problem solving aspect of figuring out how all of the pieces will connect and interact.  Working with metal in various scales has made me happy for years.  I hae a strong connection to that medium. 

What problems do you encounter in your art practice? I learn the most by making mistakes.  Sometimes the sketch or idea I had in my head doesn’t work in 3D – either it’s impossible to wear or it’s just not attractive.  often I’ll stumble upon an unanticipated way of combining materials or shapes that works even better than I could have imagined.  And sometimes I just have to scrap the whole thing and rethink the design.
