What appeals to you most about making what you make? Why do you make things? I like art as a verb more than as a noun. I enjoy process more than the end product. I am horrible when it comes to making art, because I never want to finish anything, I would rather keep working on it. Maybe put it away for a month, pull it out and work some more, put it away again, think about it for a while, work some more…

Why did you choose the medium you work with? What importance do the materials that you use have to your art? Oil paint allows me to get lost in the processes and forget that I have a painting to finish.

Where are you from? I am from North Carolina, and I secretly miss it there.

Where did you study? Art school didn’t do a lot for me, I have mainly spent the past 10 years painting badly and figuring out how to not paint so badly.
