Why do you make things?
I have always had a compulsion for being “productive”, and drawing/painting/generally creating allow me to feed that need.  Ever since I was in elementary school, my notebooks have been filled with doodles and from time to time, I am able to channel that energy into a coherent series.

What artists inspire you?
Miro, Giacometti, Hendrix, Fela, Jamal Crawford, Jack White, Kara Walker, too many to list.

Why did you choose the medium you work with?
I have worked with many kinds over the last 15 years including ink, oil pastels, crayons, mixed media, etc.  What I love about the combination of wood, acrylic and ink is that I can have a lot more control of the drawing process, and I like the rugged feel of the work.
