Dean Walch is a 3D photographer living in Portland.
What appeals to you most about making what you make? I can’t imagine life without creating things. It is an outlet that keeps me sane. My grandfather was always making things on the farm. Though I am not creating items to solve a (mechanical) problem, I do feel a bit more connected with him through making art.
How do you find inspiration? History, especially historic structures, inspire much of my work. There’s a lot to learn by looking at buildings that have stood for over 100 years. They have great stories to tell if you take the time to look.
