What appeals to you most about making what you make? Photography can be both a documentation of what happened or an illustration of an idea. I love that photography gives me the choice to either tell the truth or to make up the truth.  This freedom of expression is what most appeals to me about making photos.

What artists inspire you? How else do you find inspiration? Brooke Shaden and Francesca Woodman are two photographers who greatly inspire me with their unique vision and story-telling ability. I also find inspiration in the world around me - just being outside and taking a moment to really see and experience a precise moment in time is inspiring. Capturing that moment is my passion.

If you were capable of time travel where would you go? I’d go back to my high school years and tell myself not to be afraid to be creative and explore art as a way of self-expression.
